Lighthouse Keepers Lunch

Here in Acorns we have been reading ‘The Lighthouse Keepers Lunch’. The year 1 children used talk for writing actions to perform the story in front of the whole school!

The Reception children talked about being healthy and made sandwiches choosing from: ham, chicken, cucumber and cheese. We think the lighthouse keeper would have found his lunch very tasty!

We have also been learning about seaside holidays in the past compared to the holidays we take now. Did you know that Victorian people enjoyed hokey pokeys on the promenade whilst they were on holiday?
